Many Turned Back That Day
We fished Saturday and did very well in the Wilmington, 4 for 5 on white marlin, some very big fish, nice sulfur line and 1 degree break. My 11 year old son caught two. First time I had the boat in a hard head sea. Ran straight into a SE 3-4 ft head sea tightly packed...Jarrett Bay 70
From the April 2007 issue of Boat International magazine: While the name Q.E.D., which loosely translated means “thus it is shown,” sounds very complete and final, the Jarrett Bay 70 is still a work in progress. The builder, in partnership with MTU, is...Southern Exposure in Panama
Jarrett Bay President Randy Ramsey was able to join his 63’ Southern Exposure customers in Panama this winter, and was in total awe of not only the lush green covered mountains & piercing blue waters, but the mind-blowing numbers of fish they encountered. In just...Awesome Fishing Machine
Captain Walt Kuhn invited me along yesterday for a trip to the deep, on his boat the Kirsten, a Jarrett Bay express (awesome fishing machine!!). My friend Capt B. runs the cockpit and we were joined by Capt Walt’s brother Dan. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, we ran to 500 fathoms in the Poorman’s at 30 kts. We set the spread and a little while into the troll we ran into a school of Yellowfin, these guys were hungry, 3 knockdowns resulted in two keepers (about 20-30lbs).
No One Passed Me
Fished yesterday in a healthy SW 5-6 sea with some 8’s mixed in. Came home at 25 knots from the North (Wilmington/Spencer Canyons) with the bow down quarter sea port side running into it at an angle. Had a 70ft enclosed bridge boat next to me (Bertram or Ocean, not sure) and about 10 other 50? class boats (Vikings and Oceans) behind me on the trip home.
