Dear Randy,
Fished yesterday in a healthy SW 5-6 sea with some 8’s mixed in. Came home at 25 knots from the North (Wilmington/Spencer Canyons) with the bow down quarter sea port side running into it at an angle. Had a 70ft enclosed bridge boat next to me (Bertram or Ocean, not sure) and about 10 other 50? class boats (Vikings and Oceans) behind me on the trip home. No one passed me! Had one guy sleeping in the cabin all the way home and we slowed up about 10 miles from the beach to allow everyone to use the head. While moving along at about 6 knots, we took a wave into the cockpit from the side (gives you an idea of sea conditions.) Anyway, the boat next to me got on the tournament channel and asked if I was ok considering sea conditions as he saw me slow down. He then asked who built the boat as he was very impressed with the boat running quarter head on into those seas. Anyway, thought I would pass that on to you all that Jarrett Bay got a nice plug on the radio, not to mention others watching a 40? boat running like a champ into those seas. 1 for 6 on white marlin (got to work on our hookup ratio), one tuna, one dolphin. Heading south on Friday, hear there is a big eye bite down there. Will let you know.
Thanks for your help! Love this boat, save the plans!!!
