While the name Q.E.D., which loosely translated means “thus it is shown,” sounds very complete and final, the Jarrett Bay 70 is still a work in progress. The builder, in partnership with MTU, is attempting to create the ideal marriage between boat design and propulsion. The fundamental goal is to “significantly improve vessel performance through comprehensive analysis associated with proper matching of the engine, reduction gear, propeller, and hull form” To that end, they are having great success.
