Before The Storm

Today I delivered Bay Spice to Jarrett Bay for a haul out. From the 2 young men on the dock, to the travel lift operators, to the crews putting up jack stands, everyone was very polite with a positive attitude, and very effective in getting the boat securely in place. I am sure the owner of Bay Spice will be very satisfied with the treatment and preparation your team provides. I am sure the put-in will go just as smoothly.

We would also like to commend Jarrett Bay for the excellent commentary on the weather situation – it has been better than we can get on The Weather Channel.

I had a 9:20 AM haul out time on Friday the 26th. I was concerned that being the last day before Irene was to make land fall in our area, that it would be total chaos at your docks. I made radio contact with your ground crew just before I arrived because I was having transmission problems with the starboard side.Afraid there would be a line of boats waiting to be hauled , It was such a relief to hear the radio response, ” Barbie, pull right up to the dock, port side, slide right in behind the boat at the travel lift “. I breathed a whole lot easier when I saw the docks just about empty. There is nothing worse than not knowing if you can control your boat in the midst of expensive boats , with wind and currant to aggravate the problem.

I can only attribute the ease of which I was able to end my journey to your outstanding yard crew. There were more than ample personnel on the dock to help with lines and instructions. I don’t think it was more than 20 minutes by time your dock hands first put their hands on my dock lines , till the time I was up in the air on my way to a secure spot on the hill.

I always hear people complain about service when it is bad, but find most people never take the time out to express gratitude for GREAT service. And I had GREAT ! service. Please extend my gratitude to all the dedicated people who made my trip such a absolute pleasure.. Even though they have families, homes and other personal worries on their minds, they gave their all to secure everyone’s boat…God Bess them , and may everyone come threw this little inconvience unscathed. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN !!!!!!
