More dependable, more efficient, more environmentally friendly and requiring less maintenance than outboards, the Jarrett Bay 32 Single Diesel Jackshaft provides serious anglers a solid & economical fishing platform unlike any other in its class. Complete with the functionally stylish signature Carolina Flare found on her larger sisterships for a smooth, dry ride on the rough days offshore, the single diesel layout also offers quiet, hassle-free shallow water ventures thanks to no shaft & prop appendages and the trimability of the outdrive.
Powered by a single 425hp Cummins Common Rail fully electronic powerhouse, the Jarrett Bay 32 Diesel’s heavy duty Konrad outdrive, rated at over 700 foot-pounds of torque, offers 30% greater performance than inboards. This translates into a swift 40mph top-end speed, burning an economical 19gph with 92% engine load, 60 gallons of fuel and six men. Cruising at 33mph and 27mph, an easy-on-the-pocket 14.2gph and 11gph were burned respectively. The 210-gallon fuel capacity will provide more than 17 hours of cruising at over 30 mph, which calculates to an efficient 2.5 miles per gallon.
Another major advantage of the Jarrett Bay 32 Single Diesel Jackshaft is that there is no gear shifting in the outdrive for quiet and smooth operation. The leading-edge Twin Disc gear provides less rotating mass, smoother shifts, no driveshaft rotation when in neutral, and less maintenance & wear. The Glendinning fully electronic, single-lever control system offers shifting that is more responsive, with less effort.
