The 68′ Hatteras – Safari is in for a variety of repair work, including a power wash with new bottom & prop paint, hull polish, repairing the starboard exhaust, and fuel polishing.
The importance of fuel polishing:
From time to time micro organisms become present in fuel and tend to clog fuel lines, filters & other engine components. The micro organisms live in water present in the fuel and feed off the fuel itself.The more water in the fuel the more these micro organisms grow. Fuel polishing circulates the fuel through large commercial filters and in some cases centrifuges to remove the water and the sludge from your tanks. Other wise you would be changing your installed filter elements numerous times at a great cost.
