The official results are now in, and we’re proud to announce that the 67′ Jarrett Bay, Waste Knot has won the 2010 North Carolina Governor’s Cup Series with catches totalling 2650 points. The Impulse of Morehead City & Islander out of Hatteras, NC finished 2nd and third, respectively.
Several other Jarrett Bay boats highlighted the top portion of the leader board, including Chainlink (7), Rameseas (15), Frequent Flyer (20), Sensation (24) & Sea Striker (26). Terry & Rock Wells on the 61′ Rameseas also had the honor of bringing in the largest dolphin (58.4 lbs.) of the series.

The NC Governor’s Cup is a conservation series which tallies all billfish catches during the North Carolina tournaments and awards top boats and participants for doing their part in helping to protect our state’s valuable billfishing resources. The 2010 fleet consisted of 61 vessels with a catch total of 144 fish – 32 blue marlin, 63 white marlin & 49 sailfish – 98.61% of those fish were released.
